How to Pause or Stop Automations in Spark Minds for Holidays or Other Periods

Pausing or stopping automations in Spark Minds may be necessary during holidays, reduced operations, or other temporary situations. This guide outlines the steps to pause automations effectively and manage them across different programs.

Methods to Pause or Stop Automations

1. Pausing Automations for Specific Programs (e.g., Kids Classes)

To pause automations for specific programs, such as kids classes during school holidays, you have several options:

Option 1: Remove Timeslots

  • Navigate to your Kids calendar in Spark Minds and remove the timeslots for the holiday period.

  • By doing this, the AI will not offer or suggest these times to your clients as it depends on available timeslots in your calendar.

Option 2: Mark Closing Days

  • Go to the Calendar section in the left-side menu.

  • Click on Calendar Settings > Add Closing Day.

  • Mark the days you plan to close as holidays, and the system will ensure no times are offered during these dates.

Option 3: Temporarily Remove the Program

  • If preferred, you can request to temporarily remove the program (e.g., kids classes) from the AI.

  • After the holiday period, you can reach out and have the program reinstated in the AI.

Note: These actions will only affect the specific kids program. Other programs (e.g., gym, adult classes) will remain unaffected unless similarly modified.

2. Pausing Automations Across Multiple Program Groupings

If you need to pause automations across different programs (e.g., Ignite, Preschool, Kids):

  • Automations for each program must be paused separately. There is no option to pause all grouped programs at once.

  • Pausing all automations for a single program will halt any automations related to that program, including follow-ups for students based on their session history or training months.

  • Additionally, any other automations set up in Spark Minds for affected students must also be paused or deactivated manually.

Key Considerations

  • Program-Specific Actions: When pausing automations, focus on the specific programs impacted—this ensures minimal disruption to other operational functionalities.

  • Holidays and Special Dates: Planning ahead for holidays or periods of inactivity is essential for seamless user experiences.

Be sure to follow these steps based on your specific operational requirements and reach out to Spark Minds support for further assistance if needed.
