Attendance Setting

P
Written by Partner Training

Do you want to limit your students with how far in advance they can book or how many classes they can book? Managing attendance and registration limits is an essential feature in SPARK MEMBERSHIP, allowing you to control the number of participants for classes, memberships, or events.

Perhaps you want to enable the option to print barcodes?

The Attendance Setting is where you can do it. You can also configure attendance limits through Settings > Memberships for specific membership templates.

  • Settings > Attendance Settings for booking limits.

  • Settings > Memberships for class attendance limits.

  • Calendar > Calendar settings > Appointment Types > Edit for adjusting advance booking windows.

On this page, you can set limits on the number of classes an individual can attend within a specific period (e.g., per week or month) and adjust the maximum number of classes a student can book at one time.

Disclaimer: THIS WILL AFFECT ALL MEMBERSHIPS NOT JUST SPECIFIC MEMBERSHIPS.

Additionally, SPARK MEMBERSHIP settings notify you when limits are exceeded but do not automatically enforce restrictions. It is recommended to monitor notifications and communicate with participants as needed.

Adjusting Advance Booking Windows

To change how far in advance students can book classes:

  1. Navigate to Settings > Attendance.

  2. Locate the option labeled “How many days in advance can a member book into a roster online?”

  3. Enter the desired number of days (e.g., 7 days for one week or 30–45 days for a longer window).

  4. Save your changes. Alternatively, you can adjust this setting through the calendar:

  5. Go to Calendar > Calendar settings > Appointment Types > Edit.

  6. Set the number of days ahead that bookings are allowed in the appropriate field.

  7. Save your changes. These settings are global and apply to all rosters visible in the member app.

Modifying Booking Limits and Slot Availability

To adjust the maximum number of bookings allowed per member:

  1. Go to Settings > Attendance.

  2. Find the option to set the maximum number of bookings.

  3. Increase or decrease the number according to your desired limit.

  4. Save your changes. To allow multiple students to book the same time slot:

  5. Use the "Available Slot" option when adding a time to the calendar.

  6. Set the number of available slots to the desired number of students.

  7. Save your changes. These settings ensure flexibility in managing class capacities.

FAQs and Troubleshooting

  • Do I need to change the advance booking setting for each roster individually? No, the advance booking setting is global and applies to all rosters in the member app.

  • Where can I change how many days ahead students can see the schedule? Go to Settings > Attendance and set the “days in advance” value to a number greater than 0.
