Staff members in Spark have access to an efficient Notes feature designed to store and manage private details about students, such as information on skills, injuries, or testing readiness. These notes are exclusively visible to staff and inaccessible to students.

Where to Add Private Notes

To add private notes for a student:

  • Left Side Menu Bar > Contacts > View Students

Under "Contacts" page, click the "view" button to see the student's profile.

On "Profile Dashboard" page, scroll down and select "Contact Notes" tab. This section is specifically designed for adding staff-only visible notes.

On this page, by clicking "add note" button, there will be a pop-up window where you can input the necessary information in the provided text area and save it. Additionally, this notes feature allows you to include follow-up dates and assign the responsibility of the follow-up to a specific staff member.

Notes Tab Visibility

  • Notes entered in the Notes Tab are not visible to the students, ensuring sensitive information is restricted to staff members.

  • Additional details can also be stored in the Contacts Section, which is similarly limited to staff visibility.

By following these steps, staff members can efficiently manage and reference vital student information while maintaining privacy for sensitive details.
