  • Left Side Menu Bar > Attendance > Attendance Setup > Roster Setup

Under "Class Rosters" page, scroll down and toggle ON the "Allow Check-in via Virtual Class Link, Member App and University Portal" option.

Then set everything else up for that roster by filling out the fields on that page (you must do this for each roster you want on the app).

To troubleshoot issues with roster visibility, confirm that the settings, such as the "Allow to view in via Kiosk/Student App" option, are correctly enabled and aligned with intended memberships or class participation to ensure correct roster visibility and functionality.

Also make sure to:

  • Toggle ON the "Allow members to log attendance" option

  • Toggle ON the "Show class schedule from class rosters" option

  • Toggle ON the "Allow client to book classes" option

  • Toggle ON the "Allow client to only book classes associated with their membership" option: if you have classes that are to only be shown for their specific roster

To do this, go to:

  • Left Side Menu Bar > Settings > under Member App section > Attendance

Under "Attendance Settings" page, toggle ON those options.

If rosters still fail to display, try uninstalling and reinstalling the SPARK MINDS app to resolve potential application-specific errors.

Also, make sure you enter the coordinates for your location; students must be within the coordinates you set to check in on the app and the distance from the location where they can check-in. If issues arise, advise students to refresh their location services or restart the app.

Additionally, ensure your device's coordinates and distance range are accurate within the app settings. Make sure students have enabled location services for the app to be able to log in to the class

Students will log in to the app with their email and password, go to my class schedule, and check in from that screen by clicking the class they are signed up for and the check-in button. Remind students to select their specific class before checking in to ensure attendance records are accurately logged.

If you go to:

  • Left Side Menu Bar > Settings > Attendance

Under "Online Roster Settings" section, you can set up how many days in advance they can book the roster on the app and the number of bookings they can have at a time.

Best Practices for Avoiding Common Issues

  • Test your kiosk settings regularly to ensure rosters display as expected.

  • Educate users on selecting both their name and class when checking in to prevent blank attendances.

  • Audit attendance records periodically to catch and correct incomplete or erroneous entries promptly. Regularly test these settings and educate users on checking in properly to ensure smooth attendance management.
