How to Update Email Settings and Manage Related Issues in Spark Membership
Managing your email settings effectively in Spark Membership ensures smooth communication and functionality. This guide covers updating email settings, managing automations, troubleshooting common issues, and rescheduling or resending emails.
Updating Email Settings
To update your email address in Spark Membership:
Navigate to Settings > General Settings > Business Email.
Update the "send-from" email address to your new email.
Authenticate your domain to ensure proper functionality for email campaigns and automations.
Note: If you are trialing Google Workspace, you can minimize changes by updating only key system fields (e.g., General Settings) to the new email. This allows for easy reversion if needed. Wait until you finalize your setup before updating all automations.
Managing Automations and Scheduled Emails
After updating your email address:
Scheduled Emails: Previously scheduled emails will not automatically update to the new email address. You must delete and recreate them using the updated email.
Automations: Manually update any automations that use the old email address, as these will not update automatically.
Troubleshooting Common Issues
Outgoing Emails Using Old Email Address
If outgoing emails are still sent from your old email address:
Check if the email is being sent from a staff login that still uses the old email address.
Update the staff login email to your authenticated business domain.
For email campaigns, ensure the "send-from" email in General Settings is set to your verified business email.
Sending Email Campaigns
To send email campaigns after updating your email:
Authenticate your domain.
Add your business email in the Business Email section of General Settings.
Ensure automations use your verified business email as the "send-from" address.
Rescheduling and Resending Emails
Resending Appointment Confirmation Emails
If you need to resend an appointment confirmation email after correcting a contact’s email address:
Open the contact’s profile.
Go to their Email History.
Locate the appointment confirmation message and resend it.
By following these steps, you can ensure your email settings are updated correctly, automations function as intended, and any issues are resolved efficiently. For further assistance, consult Spark Membership support.
