Overview of Financial Transaction Discrepancies

Discrepancies in financial transaction reports on Spark can occur due to the platform's reporting methodology. Spark displays all transactions for a given day, including those processed after the batch cutoff time. This can result in slight differences between the totals shown in Spark and the actual batch totals.

Spark's Reporting Limitations

Spark does not associate transactions with specific batches or provide batch totals. Instead, it aggregates all transactions for the day, which may include transactions that are not part of the finalized batch. This can lead to confusion when reconciling financial data.

Steps to Verify Batch Totals

For the most accurate and detailed batch information, it is recommended to use external merchant portals such as USAePay or MXMerchant. These platforms allow you to:

  1. View finalized batch totals.

  2. Review individual transactions within each batch.

  3. Reconcile discrepancies by comparing Spark's data with the batch details.

If you do not have access to these portals, contact your merchant portal support team to request access credentials or assistance.
