What does error code 43 mean, and how can it be resolved?

Error code 43 is an attendance kiosk error that indicates a "Membership past due" status. This means the member's account has outstanding dues that must be resolved before they can proceed with check-ins. The error occurs because the kiosk is configured to block check-ins for accounts with past-due or expired memberships.

How to Resolve Error Code 43

To address this issue, you have two options:

  1. Update the Membership Status:

    • Log in to the member's profile in your system.

    • Bring the membership current by clearing any outstanding dues.

    • Once the membership is updated, the member will be able to check in without encountering error code 43.

  2. Adjust Kiosk Settings (if allowed by your policy):

    • Navigate to the kiosk settings in your system.

    • Enable the option to allow check-ins for past-due or expired memberships.

    • This setting will permit members with past-due accounts to check in, bypassing the error code. Note that this option should align with your organization's policies.

Policy Considerations

Before enabling check-ins for past-due memberships, ensure that this aligns with your organization's policies. Allowing check-ins for accounts with outstanding dues may impact your revenue collection processes.

By following these steps, you can resolve error code 43 and ensure a smooth check-in experience for your members.
