New features and updates for August are here! Check out these awesome new features that we have added from the awesome suggestions you have been making to help improve Spark!
π₯ Week 4 Updates π₯
New option to compare trends and statistics between multiple franchise locations
With this new addition to the software you will be able to easily compare your statistics between multiple franchise locations for the time frame(s) of your choice. This will help with seeing where your locations are excelling and may need some help on. You will also be able to export the information if you would like to have it saved in your files. To find this screen, you will be able to do so by going to your left side menu, Reports>Ultimate Stats, click on the 'Trends' tab at the top of the page. You will notice the option to add comparisons and select locations.
Setting for Allowing Class Booking through the Spark University
With this new setting you will be able to choose whether you want your students to be able to book themselves into class rosters through the university webpage or not. You will be able to find this new setting by going to your left side menu, Online University>Courses, and clicking on the blue SPARK University Options button. The setting will appear under your subdomain like in the image below.
Bug Fixes/Adjustments:
Fixed an issue with contact's being changed to 'On a Trial' or 'Active Student' before their membership starts.
Fixed an issue with the 'Update Bank Draft' option not appearing on the update payment method screen when selecting the option to update all memberships with the new payment method.
Fixed an issue with In-House memberships where the next installment due date not being pushed forward when a payment on the invoice is set as collected before the due date.
Fixed an issue with an error message being thrown when attempting to refund EFT/Bank Draft payments on invoices.
Fixed an issue with the MIA maximizer changing the traffic light colors even when automated or mass communications are sent to contacts on the MIA list.
Fixed an issue with the the staff, terms, and financial signature boxes not allowing students to sign them on the agreement page.
Fixed an issue with webform auto responder emails not being sent to new leads obtained through the webform.
Fixed an issue with not being able to place a contact under a specific age group on via the edit profile page.
Fixed an issue with not being able to properly search for contacts when on the 'merge profiles' page.
Fixed an issue with the Roster Report not showing the correct number of contacts booked for a class on the drop down.
Fixed an issue with connected contact profile pictures not appearing on a contact's profile.
Fixed an issue with the checkout page 'Add Purchasers' feature throwing an error when trying to make a purchase for a contact.
Fixed an issue with duplicate ranks being added to contact profiles when they start a membership connected to a specific rank system.
Fixed an issue with the Ultimate Stats showing the same contact as a New Student for multiple date ranges when the contact is swapped between different contact types being considered as an Active Student.
Fixed an issue with the 'Send email to staff' checkbox being automatically unchecked after saving an appointment on the calendar.
Adjusted the 'Update Credit Card' email template to also be the default email when choosing the option to send the email through the All Memberships report./
π₯ Week 3 Updates π₯
Drop Down option for Rank Promotion Groups on Checkout Page Purchase Item Settings
With this new addition to the software you will be able to associate specific purchase items on registration pages to groups on your rank promotion rosters. This can be very useful in situations where you will need to split your promotions between multiple days and want your lists of students that are set to promoted on certain to be grouped together, that way you could filter your list down to only focus on those students. You will be able to find this new drop down in the purchase item settings like in the image below:

Rank Promotion Groups Filter on Rank Promotion Pages
We have now added a filter for Groups on mass rank promotion pages which will make it easier for you to focus on specific group of students at a time. For this to new filter to work effectively, you will need to make sure you are assigning a group number to your students on the list. You will be able to find this new filter at the top of you mass rank promotion pages like in the image below:
Option to Run Automations for Contacts on Vacation
With this new option you will be able to choose whether you want your automated communications to continue being sent to your contact on vacation or if you prefer them to be excluded from those sequences. You will be able to find this settings by going to your left side menu, Settings>General Settings in the right column.

Option to send out a new confirmation email to a contact after updating a booked appointment time/date
With this new addition, once you update the date or time of a booked calendar appointment, you will be provided with the option to resend the new appointment information via email to the contact which can be useful in cases where the contact is not in front of you and you need to make sure they are aware of the changes.
Refund and Invoice Closure Logs on the Staff Activity Logs report
You will now be able to quickly and easily track invoice refunds and closures performed by staff members on the Staff Activity Logs report. You will also have the options to filter the list down by: staff member name, specific actions taken, and date frame as well as being able to export the information and print it out for your convenience.
Bug Fixes/Adjustments:
Fixed an issue with not being able to add a title for hyperlinks on emails through FireFox.
Fixed an issue with students not being sent the payment decline email upon their membership payment not going through.
Fixed an issue with the 'Cancel If' actions not working correctly for appointments being marked as 'Showed'.
Fixed an issue with checkout page purchases giving contacts an error message if the item they selected is not associated to a rank group. This was only applicable on rank testing registration pages.
Fixed an issue with the membership due date not being moved forward automatically when a membership payment is attempted manually from the invoice page.
Fixed an issue on the Lead & Trial Maximizer where trials contacts would appear under the 'Leads' tab.
Fixed an issue with the date picker not working when editing existing tasks.
Fixed an issue with the filters on Email Campaigns not working properly when choosing to only include contacts that have attended classes within the last X amount of days.
Fixed an issue with the All Contacts widget not populating the contact names when being viewed on a mobile device.
Adjusted the New Member Maximizer to now sort contacts based on their membership start date with the newest memberships appearing at the top of the list.
Adjusted invoices to now only allow you to make changes to them if they do not have any payments associated to them.
Adjusted the double opt in feature for webforms to now allow you to resend the confirmation email to contacts who have not double opted in through their profile. a checkmark icon will now be displayed when a contact has confirmed their email address.

Added new previews for automation action steps
With this new update to automations, you will be able to quickly see what each action step will be sending for emails and sms messages at a glance. You will no longer need to edit your action steps to view if any changes need to be made, you can simply click on an email or message directly to view it in it's entirety making creating automations a much more streamlined and enjoyable process.

Fixed an issue with the bullet points on email templates not being shown when used for emails.
Fixed an issue with multiples of the same message and announcement notifications being sent to the same contacts.
Fixed an issue with the wording on the Staff Activity Logs for manually rescheduled appointments.
Fixed an issue with the Sparktan Owner app crashing when creating a task through the app.
Fixed an issue with Facebook hyperlinks added to the body of a Member App announcement not allowing contacts to be redirected to the correct page when clicked.
Fixed an issue with the EOD email's financial figures for what was collected the day prior and how much was collected throughout the month to date not matching the reports in Spark.
Fixed an issue on the Attendance Counts report not displaying the correct number of attendances taken since last exam for certain students.
Fixed an issue with the tasks due date selector not popping up when editing an existing task and only appearing when creating a new task.
Fixed an issue with automations not firing out correctly on the proper intervals set in the action step settings.
